Manufacturing Manager
Pro Comp Suspension Systems is the leader in light truck aftermarket suspension system manufacturing and wholesale distribution. We are seeking a motivated hands-on Manufacturing Manager to provide leadership, work direction and supervision of the production team to ensure product is manufactured on schedule and within quality standards and cost objectives.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:
- 4 year degree in appropriate discipline or equivalent combination of education, training and related experience.
- Minimum of 5 years progressive management experience with broad based knowledge of progressive manufacturing practices including Lean principles, production scheduling, resources planning, budgeting and cost control.
- Proven manufacturing process improvement
- Must have previous experience with strategic planning and allocation of resources
- Knowledge of machining and/or machinist experience
- Must be proficient with PC’s and ERP/MRP
- Good interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication and teaming skills
- Proven ability to plan, make decisions and prioritize
Key responsibilities will include:
- Provide leadership and direction to manufacturing functional managers
- Prioritizes and expedites work orders
- Develop routing by work station and manufacturing standards
- Work with engineering to bring product to market on time and on budget
- Ensures manufactured product quality standards are met while meeting cost objectives and lean initiatives
- Output and efficiency accountability
- Encouraging an environment based on teamwork and continuous improvement though support and execution of Lean Manufacturing Practices (raising yields, improving quality, increasing throughput, and cycle time reduction)
- Drive continuous improvement within the workforce by taking leadership role in driving Lean Manufacturing and through mentoring and coaching
- Develops and monitors manufacturing budgets, and provides reporting on costs and labor
- Ensures that safety and housekeeping standards are met
